Short Background Story:

This is a conversation between Buddha and the parents of Yash, someone who was saved by Buddha from killing himself and thereafter, made mind to follow Buddha on the Dharma path.

ལོ་ངོ་བརྒྱ་སྟོང་མང་པོའི་ནང་ལ། ང་ཚོས་རྟག་པར། གཞན་གྱི་སྡིག་ཉེས་ལ་སྐྱོན་འཛུགས་བྱས། ང་ཚོས་མཆོད་འབུལ་བྱས། དམར་མཆོད་བྱས། མདོར་བསྡུས་ན་གསུང་རབ་དང་། མཁས་པ་གཞན་དག་ལ་བརྟེན་ནས། སྡིག་པ་དག་ཐབས་བྱེད་ཀྱི་ཡོད་རེད། ཡིན་ནའི་ངས་ཐག་བཅད་ནས་ཞུས་ཆོག སྡིག་ཉེས་ཡོངས་རྫོགས་ཀྱི་འབྱུང་ཁུངས། སོ་སོ་རང་ཉིད་རེད། བྱས་ཙང་ཐར་པའི་སྒོ་མོ་འདི། སོ་སོ་རང་ཉིད་ཀྱིས་ཕྱེ་དགོས་རེད།

Sentence Translation:

For many hundreds and thousands of years, we have always blamed others' evils and faults. We have made offerings; we have made sacrifices; in short, we have relied on scriptures and other wise ones trying to purify the sins. However, I can confidently say: “The source of all evils and offenses is personally oneself.' Therefore, this door of liberation needs to be opened by oneself personally.
